A pre race sample was taken from Paw Sa Prize.
Dyna Rapidash was quick to begin. Amelia Christa was slow to begin. Black Macoy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Blingsteen, Axis Bale and Amelia Christa. Dark Jameson checked off Blingsteen on the first turn, checking Amelia Christa and Axis Bale. Amelia Christa checked off Dark Jameson approaching the home turn. Dyna Rapidash and Chappy collided in the home straight, checking Dyna Rapidash. Paw Sa Prize checked off Blingsteen in the home straight, checking Axis Bale.
A sample was taken from Chappy - the winner of the event.
Amelia Christa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr R Moore, trainer of Amelia Christa regarding the greyhounds performance. Mr Moore stated that although the greyhound suffered interference in the run, he was disappointed with the greyhounds performance particularly the fact that the greyhound was slow to begin. Mr Moore further stated that in his opinion the greyhound is better suited to an inside draw.
