The judge inadvertantly signalled Race 7 on the semaphore board prior to this event, this was corrected to Race 6 prior to the All Clear being given.
Goerge Sannette was slow to begin.
Zanpa Bale and Lissa Breen collided soon after the start. Ponting's Nail, Clash Of Kings, Lissa Breen and Zanpa Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Zanpa Bale and Lissa Breen. Ponting's Nail, Clash Of Kings and Mepunga Ranger collided on the first turn. What's Up Herbie crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Ponting's Nail, Clash Of Kings, Mepunga Ranger and George Sannette. Lissa Breen checked off What's Up Herbie on the first turn severely checking Lissa Breen, Ponting;s Nail and Mepunga Ranger. Clash Of Kings and What's Up Herbie collided on the third turn, approaching the home turn and on the home turn causing What's Up Herbie to contact the running rail.
