Mystic Twist was a late scratching at 6.16pm due to weight variation (GAR39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mark Cauchi was fined the sum of $100.

Sally Gardens and Why Not Wayne collided approaching the first turn and again in the front straight.  Tribal Faith checked off Mepunga Tiara approaching the third turn.  Tribal Faith raced wide in the back straight.  Mepunga Tiara and Why Not Wayne collided approaching the home turn.

Why Not Wayne was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards queried Mr G Carter, trainer of the greyhound Why Not Wayne which performed below market expectations.  Mr. Carter stated that he had been unable to work the greyhound as he usually would due to a minor injury to the the hind leg, sustained after the greyhounds last race. Mr Carter further stated that in his opinion the greyhound would benefit from the run. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Carter.

Dyna Ditto was quick to begin.  Invictus Rapid, Baltic Valhalla, Boris Lee and General Soreness were slow to begin.  Baltic Valhalla galloped on the heels of Boris Lee approaching the first turn checking Boris Lee.  Tronald Trump and Boris Lee collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Boris Lee to race wide.  Brindle Audrey and Aston Ebert collided on the first turn checking Invictus Rapid and Brindle Audrey. Brindle Audrey checked off Invictus Rapid on the second turn.  Boris Lee checked off Tronald Trump on the third turn.  Invictus Rapid was held up for a clear run approaching the home turn.

Brindle Audrey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion to the left hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Miss Johannsen and Alpha Ares were slow to begin.  Bronco De Jurer and Punk Star Lass collided soon after the start checking Bronco De Jurer.  Midwinter and Bronco De Jurer collided approaching the first turn checking Midwinter.  Bronco De Jurer, Punk Star Lass, Mepunga Ledger, Ninety Five and Ring The Bell collided on the first turn checking Bronco De Jurer, Mepunga Ledger, Ninety Five, Midwinter and Miss Johannsen.  Punk Star Lass and Ring The Bell collided on the first turn.  Midwinter and Mepunga Ledger collided entering the front straight.  Ninety Five and Alpha Ares collided in the front straight.  Bronco De Jurer and Mepunga Ledger collided approaching the second turn checking Mepunga Ledger.  Bronco De Jurer and Mepunga Ledger collided approaching the third turn checking Mepunga Ledger.  Punk Star Lass and Miss Johannsen collided approaching the home turn.  Midwinter checked off Punk Star Lass on the home turn and collided with Miss Johannsen checking Midwinter and Miss Johannsen.

Alpha Zeus and Someday Lady collided approaching the first turn checking Someday Lady.  Vic For Short and Bush Rebel collided approaching the first turn.  Vic For Short, Bush Rebel, Polijuice Potion, Alpha Zeus, Someday Lady and Come At Me collided on the first turn severely checking Vic For Short, Polijuice Potion, Alpha Zeus, Someday Lady, Come At Me and Bush Rebel which fell as a result.  Mepunga Treasure and What's Up Herbie collided on the third turn checking What's Up Herbie.  Come At Me checked off What's Up Herbie on the home turn.

Bush Rebel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right back muscles.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Beard, One Dee, George Sannette and Lektra Outlaw were slow to begin.  Sisco Rage went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  One Dee and George Sannette collided soon after the start.  Why Not Jojo, Black Beard, One Dee, George Sannette and Lektra Outlaw collided on the first turn severely checking George Sannette and Lektra Outlaw and severely checking Why Not Jojo, Black Beard and One Dee which fell as a result.  George Sannette checked off Lektra Outlaw on the third turn.

Why Not Jojo was was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Beard was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hips and the right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

One Dee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Cosmic Lola was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dyna Rapidash was quick to begin.  Charleston and Harden Bale collided soon after the start.   African Storm and Dr. Des collided soon after the start.  African Storm checked off Gunmetal Rebel approaching the first turn.  Charleston and Ebert Bale collided on the first turn.  Brown Bomber and Gunmetal Rebel collided on the first turn checking Brown Bomber and African Storm.  Dr. Des raced wide on the first turn.  Brown Bomber checked off Ebert Bale in the back straight.  Gunmetal Rebel and Dyna Rapidash collided in the back straight.  Harden Bale and Dyna Rapidash collided on the home turn checking Dyna Rapidash.
