Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to J. Collins, the kennel representative of Ace Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ace Bale last raced on 19th May, 2015. Mr. Collins stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and was returning from a spell.
Ace Bale checked off Glass Roof approaching the first turn. Gass Roof checked off Tronnie Oldfield on the first turn. Tronnie Oldfield checked off Matilda Taylor approaching the home turn. Dyna Fame clipped the heels of Ace Bale approaching the home turn. Ace Bale eased in the home straight and tailed off.
Stewards spoke to J Collins, the handler of the greyhound Ace Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Ace Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained muscle soreness in the left and right thighs, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ace Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). J Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Ace Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
