Steward's Report

Aston Taj and Lulu Allen were quick to begin. Gunbarrel Twist, Margaret Jean and Jadu were slow to begin. Margaret Jean checked off Bekim Power soon after the start. Bekim Power and What's Up Trumps collided approaching the first turn. Gunbarrel Twist and Bekim Power collided on the first turn checking Bekim Power and severely checking Gunbarrel Twist. Media Muzzle and What's Up Trumps collided on the first turn. What's Up Trumps galloped on the heels of Media Muzzle on the home turn. Jadu tailed off in the home straight. Bekim Power checked off Margaret Jean in the home straight. Gunbarrel Twist raced wide in the home straight.

Gunbarrel Twist was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Jadu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an infected spike wound on the left front foot and severe dehydration, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to On-Track Veterinarian Dr G. Goble, who stated that severe dehydraytion would have contributed to the greyhound's poor performance tonight. Stewards noted Dr. Goble's observations and took no further action.
