Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Reid, the trainer of Hit Star regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hit Star last raced on 25th May 2015. Mr. Reid stated that the greyhound was recovering from an injured hock joint.
Hit Star was slow to begin. Hit Star and Dark Avenger collided soon after the start. Buckle Up Vicki and Power Volt collided approaching the first turn. Runnin' On Gas and Won Wron Flyer collided approaching the first turn checking Buckle Up Vicki.
Hit Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to is right wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Runnin' On Gas, the winner of the event.
