Ms. Y. Andrews, representative of Dusty Sky declared a new weight of 32.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dusty Sky last raced at 31.4kgs.

Looking Back was quick to begin.  Da Goose, Galloping Jamie, Willowbrooke, Belron Bomber and Orange Blossom collided soon after the start checking Galloping Jamie and Willowbrooke.  Eat My Shorts and Orange Blossom collided approaching the home turn checking Orange Blossom.  Dusty Sky and Orange Blossom collided on the home turn checking Orange Blossom and Belron Bomber.

Tiger Eyed Jack was a late scratching at 11:50am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. M. Thomas was fined the sum of $100.

Lunar Magic and Somersby Red were slow to begin.  Lohan and Let It Bling collided on the first turn checking Lohan.

Iowna Show and I've Got Spirit collided soon after the start.  Snowy Hunt, Tiger Jams and Raven Lord collided soon after the start.  Tiger Jams, Iowna Show and I've Got Spirit collided on the first turn checking Iowna Show and I've Got Spirit.  Here The Echo, Tiger Jams and Arvo's Steva collided on the first turn severely checking Tiger Jams and I've Got Spirit.  Here The Echo and Arvo's Steva collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

I've Got Spirit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Zou Zou Nee was quick to begin.  Sweet Jess, Dromore's Opal and Play With Magic collided soon after the start checking Dromore's Opal which stumbled as a result.  Sweet Jess and Zou Zou Nee collided approaching the first turn checking Sweet Jess.  Play With Magic checked off Jax Mikado approaching the first turn.  Jax Mikado and This Is Spartan collided approaching the first turn.  Nikita's Nitro and Sweet Jess collided on the first turn.  Jax Mikado galloped on the heels of Nikita's Nitro approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Sweet Jess checked off Suedon Belle in the home straight.

Bit After Nine and Dr. Timothy were slow to begin.  Blasting Bear, Dr. Taylor and Our Miss Penny collided soon after the start checking Dr. Taylor.  Bit After Nine, Miss Kadia and Our Miss Penny collided on the first turn checking Our Miss Penny.  Elfie checked off Blasting Bear approaching the home turn checking Our Miss Penny and Dr. Timothy.  Bit After Nine and Mizuki collided several times in the home straight.

Dr. Peter was slow to begin.  Lost My Jockey and Buckle Up Brett collided soon after the start.  Lost My Jockey checked off Kripke approaching the first turn and crossed to the rail as a result.  Sloan Ranger crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Lost My Jockey, Buckle Up Brett and Lucy Norris collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Brett ad Lucy Norris and severely checking Lost My Jockey.  Mystic Dream and Dr. Peter collided on the first turn.

Cost Cutter and Black Kaspa were slow to begin.  Let's Say Hello and Survivor Sal collided soon after the start.  Black Kaspa and Survivor Sal collided several times approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Le Doyen and Survivor Sal.

Where's Rhys was slow to begin.  Hip Hop Emmy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Runaway Ellie, Madam Model and Arvo's Leroy and severely checking Classy Caitlyn.  Arvo's Leroy and Madam Model collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Where's Rhys and Runaway Ellie collided on the home turn.  Runaway Ellie raced wide in the home straight.

Shrek's Junior and Asha Rhode were slow to begin.  Shrek's Junior, Aristos and Asha Rhode collided soon after the start.  Shrek's Junior checkedoff Asha Rhode approaching the first turn.  Trigger Bling checked off Try Me on the first turn.  Asha Rhode checked off Life Member approaching the home turn.  Life Member and Burnsy's Sue collided on the home turn.

Acquitted was a late scratching at 3:51pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a left pencil injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Rail Rider was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Fallen Star stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Dr. Balboa, Lika Surprize and Stumble collided approaching the first turn severely checking Lika Surprize which tailed off as a result.  Our Kimi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Stumble and Dr. Balboa.  Stumble checked off Richo Brae on the first turn checking Fallen Star.  Dr. Balboa and Richo Brae collided approaching the home turn checking Richo Brae.  Fallen Star raced wide in the home straight.

Lika Surprize was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated left patella, a collateral ligament rupture and toe fractures.  The greyhound was humanely euthanised.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Reid, the trainer of Hit Star regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hit Star last raced on 25th May 2015. Mr. Reid stated that the greyhound was recovering from an injured hock joint.

Hit Star was slow to begin.  Hit Star and Dark Avenger collided soon after the start.  Buckle Up Vicki and Power Volt collided approaching the first turn. Runnin' On Gas and Won Wron Flyer collided approaching the first turn checking Buckle Up Vicki.

Hit Star was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to is right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Fireburst trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 1, weight 31.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.79.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 19 lengths.  Fireburst was cleared.

Bluehawk Babe trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 3, weight 30.7kgs.  The greyhound pulled up in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.79.   Bluehawk Babe was not cleared.

Sam Harper trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 7, weight 33.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.79.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 17.5 lengths.  Sam Harper was cleared.

Flash Riot trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 8, weight 29.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.79.  The greyhound won by a margin of 17.5 lengths.   Flash Riot was cleared.
