Perfect Lily was quick to begin. Footy Fever was slow to begin. Still The One went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Cool Whipp and Straight Away collided approaching the first turn. Straight Away eased on the first turn. Still The One checked off Footy Fever on the first turn. Bullboar galloped on the heels of Still The One approaching the home turn. Crave and Cool Whipp collided approaching the home turn. Aston Dawn galloped on the heels of Straight Away approaching the home turn. Still The One and Straight Away collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn, checking both greyhounds which raced wide as a result. Still The One eased entering the home straight. 

Still The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr J.Magri declined a re-vet. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J.Magri, the trainer of the greyhound Still The One regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Still The One with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Magri pleaded guilty to the charge, Still The One was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Straight Away was vetted and revetted following event 4, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr A.Julian, the representative of the greyhound Straight Away regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Straight Away with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Julian pleaded not guilty to the charge, Straight Away was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
