Totally Lost and Sunraysia Daily were slow to begin. Alpha Demeter and Dream Edition collided soon after the start. Wince Allen, Sweet Nothins and Destini Blaze collided soon after the start and again on the first turn, checking Sweet Nothins, Totally Lost and severely checking Destini Blaze. Totally Lost and Sunraysia Daily collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Totally Lost raced wide approaching the home turn. Sweet Nothins and Totally Lost collided in the home straight. 

Sunraysia Daily was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Dream Of Success was quick to begin. Lido's Boy and Lord Somersby were slow to begin. Spiritello and Lord Somersby collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Dream Of Success, Dream Of Fame, Lido's Boy, Spiritello and Lord Somersby collided on the first turn, checking Destini Firebird, Lido's Boy, Spiritello, Lord Somersby, severely checking Dream Of Fame and causing Lido's Boy, Spiritello and Lord Somersby to race wide. Dream Of Success checked off Squeaky Gate approaching the second turn. Lido's Boy checked off Dream Of Success entering the back straight. Dream Of Fame and Lido's Boy collided on the third turn, checking Lido's Boy and severely checking Dream Of Fame. Squeaky Gate and Destini Firebird collided on the home turn. 

Shanlyn Hoss, Pacific Miss and Stick Hero were slow to begin. Shanlyn Hoss, Pacific Miss, Stick Hero and Indi Allen collided soon after the start, checking Pacific Miss and Stick Hero. Garmon Bale, Kansas Bale, Stunning Success and Indi Allen collided on the first turn, checking Stunning Success, Indi Allen and severely checking Kansas Bale which stumbled as a result. Kansas Bale and Stick Hero collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Pacific Miss and Indi Allen collided in the back straight. Pacific Miss and Indi Allen collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. 

Kansas Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Road To Vegas and Emmett Ryker were slow to begin. Marciarno Miss, Ripped and Elfie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Ripped and Emmett Ryker collided on the second turn. Road To Vegas, Marciarno Miss and Elfie collided in the back straight, checking Marciarno Miss, Elfie and Ripped. Magic Jack Rose lost considerable ground from the home turn to the winning post. 

Magic Jack Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right whip muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Magic Jack Rose, Ms. C Haigh, regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the on turn to the winning post. Ms Haigh stated that it was the greyhound's first 515m race and indicated that she would not be nominating the greyhound over a similar distance in the near future as after today as she believes that the greyhound is unable to run the distance out strongly. Taking into account Ms Haighs explanation and the injury sustained stewards took no futher action.

A pre race sample was taken from Sulzanti. 

Blue Revolver was slow to begin. Kantega, Marvelous Marvin and Gardsman collided soon after the start. Gardsman and Blue Revolver collided approaching the first turn. Marvelous Marvin and Gardsman collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Sulzanti and Papillon collided on the first turn. Gardsman checked off Gorbachev on the first turn. 

Cuervo Shot was a late scratching at 1:47pm by order of stewards as it was established that the greyhound was ineligible for this event as it is a winner of 7 races (3 international wins and 4 in Victoria). 

A pre race sample was taken from Sweet Chilly.

Zarko's Dream was quick to begin. Bahama Bay was slow to begin. Bahama Bay and Sweet Chilly collided on the third turn. 

Miss Monteya was quick to begin. Majestic Seine, Zatmine, Berry Blitz, Dashing Dave and It's A Plane collided on the first turn, checking Majestic Seine, Zatmine, Dashing Dave and It's A Plane. White Stinger raced wide approaching the third turn. It's A Plane checked off Zatmine approaching the home turn. 

Golden was quick to begin. Sam Harper and Proven Fantasy collided soon after the start. Kallara Gem checked off Pyromania on the first turn and collided with Proven Fantasy. Rashad Reason and Sam Harper collided on the third turn. 

Sam Harper was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Terry, the trainer of the greyhound Sam Harper. Stewards deemed the performance of Sam Harper unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Sam Harper must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Macalister Sam was quick to begin. Drift Liner and Shanlyn Jed were slow to begin. Montoey and Dream Ticket collided soon after the start. Zelemar Storm, Camilla Go Girl and Drift Liner collided approaching the first turn, checking Camilla Go Girl and Drift Liner. Montoey and Shanlyn Jed collided on the first turn. Zelemar Storm and Camilla Go Girl collided on the third turn, checking Camilla Go Girl. 

Dream Ticket was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a wound on the testicle. No stand down period was imposed. 

Bring Sexy Back was quick to begin. Our Spinner and Who Told Red collided soon after the start. Who Told Red and Yeah Whatever collided approaching the first turn. Vanger Bale checked off Bring Sexy Back on the first turn, checking Yeah Whatever, Who Told Red and Iona Muffin Top. Vanger Bale and Our Spinner collided on the third turn. Iona Muffin Top and Our Spinner collided approaching the home turn. 

Vasile Boy, Black Selandra and Prince Django were slow to begin. Black Selandra and Pepper Fozz collided on the first turn. Pepper Fozz faltered on the first turn and fell as a result. Black Selandra raced wide in the back straight and again in the home straight. 

Pepper Fozz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spinal injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

The numbers 6, 8, 1, 7  were in advertently semaphored shortly after this event. This was corrected to 6, 8, 1, 2 and the all clear was given on the Judge's numbers.
