Steward's Report
Judges inadvertently semaphored the incorrect placings: 1 (1st) 7 (2nd), followed by the incorrect placings: 1 (1st) 5-7 (dead heat 2nd) and 4 (4th) before being further corrected by the Judge to the correct placings of 1 (1st), 5 (2nd), 7 (3rd) and 4 (4th) after which the All Clear was then notified. The judges will be referred to the Geelong GRC manager for further consideration in relation to this matter.
Shiny New and Aston Ebert were slow to begin. Barrier Reef, Magic Bunny and Bekin Power collided soon after the start checking Magic Bunny. Bekim Power checked off Bigshow Jethro soon after the start. Magic Bunny checked off Bekim Power approaching the first turn. Destini Spark checked off Bekim Power on the first turn checking Magic Bunny. Aston Ebert checked off the heels of Shiny New on the first turn. Destini Spark and Magic Bunny collided approaching the home turn checking Magic Bunny. Magic Bunny raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Rutland, trainer of Magic Bunny, and issued him with a warning regarding his use of improper language behind the starting boxes.
