Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Azzopardi, the trainer of Master Kooper regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Master Kooper last raced on 11th of May, 2016. Mr. Azzopardi stated that Master Kooper is returning to racing from a left hock injury.

Master Kooper and Clovalley Mauri collided on the first turn. Stylish Chief and Kraken Mazing collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
