Steward's Report
Aston Prada was a late scratching at 2:56PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a ruptured toe ligament. A twenty-one day stand down period was imposed.
Stetson Bill and My Lilly collided soon after the start, checking Stetson Bill. Latifi Cee Jay, Bacardi Breezer and My Lilly collided approaching the first turn, checking Bacardi Breezer. Bacardi Breezer and Stetson Bill collided approaching the first turn, checking Stetson Bill. Madre Miss and Piccolo Princess collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn, checking Picollo Princess. Madre Miss raced wide in the home straight.
Following the event Piccolo Princess displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result the greyhound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound displayed clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria and Diaphragmatic Flutter. No stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Miss. A. Powell, the trainer of Piccolo Princess and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
