Josie Jo was slow to begin.  Son Of Irod and Atomiser collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Son Of Irod galloped on the heels of Highfield Socks on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Scotta Be Quick and Hillbilly Spunk collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Simonic Drive checked off Hillbilly Spunk in the home straight.  Scotta Be Quick and Hillbilly Spunk collided approaching the winning post checking Hillbilly Spunk.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cullquin Nikki upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Delcorn Potts was slow to begin and raced wide throughout the event. Rumbling Daisy and Highfield Bones collided soon after the start checking Highfield Bones.  Call Me Loulou, Bali Prince and Sixty Three collided soon after the start checking Sixty Three and Bali Prince; Bali Prince stumbled as a result.  Sixty Three checked off Bali Prince approaching the second turn.  Call Me Loulou and Rumbling Daisy collided approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Burra Flight upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Edgar, the trainer of Burra Flight  regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Burra Flight  last raced on 23rd May 2016.  Mr. Edgar stated the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.  Mr. Edgar also declared a new weight of 27.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Burra Flight last raced at 29.2kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Parvati Patil.

Burra Flight was slow to begin.  Razzle Oak went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Magic Dance and Mylina Shakey collided approaching the first turn.  Hillbilly Kisses, Cosmic Guru, Mylina Shakey and Magic Dance collided on the first turn checking Magic Dance, Mylina Shakey and Burra Flight.  Magic Dance and Razzle Oak collided approaching the home turn.  Razzle Oak checked off Senni Richard entering the home straight and raced wide as a result.  Burra Flight checked off Magic Dance in the home straight.  Parvati Patil raced wide in the home straight.  Hillbilly Kisses raced wide approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Mylina Shakey, the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Doyen Ruler.

Aston Upton and Destini Charger were quick to begin.  Doyen Ruler was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Santa Claws and Aston Upton collided approaching the first turn.  Proven Joey checked off Destini Charger on the first turn.  Candyo and Drogma collided on the first turn.  Concrete Level galloped on the heels of Proven Joey on the first turn checking Concrete Level and severely checking Proven Joey.

Proven Joey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Santa Claws, the winner of the event.

Funda Down and Rosie's Gift collided soon after the start.  Darley Millions and Funda Down collided on the first turn checking Funda Down.  Jen Shen and Darley Millions collided on the first turn.  Rosie's Gift crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Anna Gun.  Little Ferret and Dream Of Gigi collided in the back straight.  Beksun checked off Dream Of Gigi on the second turn checking Rosie's Gift.  Beksun and Darley Millions collided approaching the home turn checking Beksun, Darley Millions and Rosie's Gift.

Stewards issued a warning to handler Mr. D. Bate regarding his tardiness in boxing the greyhound Little Ferret in this event, pursuant to GAR 51(9).

See Him Run, Wise Harry and Milwalcar were quick to begin.  Patchie Bear was slow to begin.  Baron Charlie and Oh Lele Peter collided approaching the first turn.  Oh Lele Peter, Patchie Bear, Monaleen Monty, Linda's Gift and Milwalcar collided on the first turn checking Oh Lele Peter, Patchie Bear and Linda's Gift. Monaleen Monty checked off Milwalcar approaching the home turn.  Baron Charlie raced wide approaching the home turn.  Oh Lele Peter and Linda's Gift collided approaching the home turn checking Oh Lele Peter.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. T. New for failing to fulfil his catching duties for the greyhound Patchie Bear in this event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Barsby regarding the direction that the direction that the greyhound Linda's Gift be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Mr. M. Cahill, trainer of Leinster declared a new weight of 32.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Leinster last raced at 31.1kgs.

Goldenpaw Girl and Benny's Promise were slow to begin.  My Sirion, Leinster, Platinum Force and Warringal Miss collided soon after the start checking Platinum Force.  Platinum Force and Warringal Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Goldenpaw Girl, Benny's Promise and Highfield Flirt collided on the first turn checking Benny's Promise.  Goldenpaw Girl and Limburg Gunna collided approaching the home turn.  Warringal Miss checked off My Sirion approaching the home turn.  Platinum Force checked off Highfield Flirt approaching the home turn.  Platinum Force raced wide in the home straight.

Cairnlea Red and Wino Waves were slow to begin.  Irish Asteria and My Dolly Molly collided soon after the start.  Destini Baby, Initial Factor and Ebony Eclipse collided on the first turn checking Initial Factor.  Initial Factor and Irish Asteria collided in the back straight.  Intial Factor and Wino Waves collided in the back straight.  Intial Factor, Cairnlea Red and Wino Waves raced wide in the back straight and again in the home straight.

Why Not George and To The Choppar were slow to begin.  Pyrenees Diva, Mepunga Paddy and Why Not George collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Paddy and Why Not George.  Pyrenees Diva and Crackerjack Surf collided on the first turn.  Why Not George and Claretown Happy collided on the home turn.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. W. Gray, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not George regarding the greyhound's boxing manners.

Stewards spoke to Ms S.Hooke,  the trainer of Who"s That Hook regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Who's That Hook last raced on 27 June 2016.. Ms.Hooke stated that  the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the right monkey muscle.

Chi Chi Rodrigis was quick to begin.  Tom's Gift was slow to begin.  Stress Star and Myalla Five collided soon after the start.  Who's That Hook and Baron Lad collided approaching the first turn.  Diyas, Who's That Hook and Baron Lad collided on the first turn checking Who's That Hook, Oriental Prince and Myalla Five.  Stress Star and Tom's Gift collided approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Chi Chi Rodrigis, the winner of the event.

Neliel Bale and Cowboy Jury collided soon after the start checking Cowboy Jury.  Neliel Bale checked off Gotta Rush approaching the first turn.  Chelsea Drogba checked off Gotta Rush approaching the first turn.  Chelsea Drogba, Minority and Smooth Silver collided on the first turn checking Minority and Uncool Albert.  Minority clipped the heels of Neliel Bale approaching the home turn severely checking Minority which fell as a result.  Swazza's Rocket checked off Smooth Silver approaching the home turn.

Minority was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Swazza's Rocket, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Scoop Jackson, Demtel and Shachar Magic were slow to begin.  Jersey and Little Arandt collided soon after the start.  Scoop Jackson and Jersey collided approaching the first turn.  Demtel and Jersey collided on the first turn.  Demtel checked off Jersey on the home turn.  Vintage Box, Little Arandt and Emi's Boy Badger collided in the home straight.  Vintage Box, Little Arandt and Emi's Boy Badger raced wide in the home straight.

Trial 1 - 390m

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the representative of Still Just Under regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Still Just Under last raced on 14th January 2016.  Mr. Ward stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a left hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Still Just Under trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.76.  The greyhound was won by a margin of 4.75 lengths.  Still Just Under was cleared.

Trial 2 - 390m

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Marum, the trainer of Sisco Fiasco regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Sisco Fiasco last raced on 20th January 2016.  Mr. Marum stated that the greyhound was returning to race after whelping a litter.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Sisco Fiasco trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 28.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.93.  The greyhound won by a margin of 0.25 lengths.  Sisco Fiasco was cleared.

Commander trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 2, weight 32.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.93. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.25 lengths.  Commander was cleared.

Trial 3 - 450m

Cactus Jack trialled over the 450 metre distance from box 1, weight 34.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.45. The greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths.  Cactus Jack was cleared.

Trial 4 - 450m

Garku Bale (Weight Trial) trialled over the 450 metre distance from box 8, weight 32.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 2.  The time of the trial was 26.12.  The greyhound won by a margin of 0.05 lengths.  Garku Bale was cleared.
