Chilly Devil was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to its left metatarsal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Spritely Pizazz was slow to begin.  Dyna Zeek and Sub Zero Magic collided soon after the start.  Blue Westmead and Penelopes Cruzn collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Blue Westmead.  To The Galos crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Penelopes Cruzn, Sub Zero Magic, Dyna Zeek and Crackerjack Pest and severely checking Advice Aplenty and Blue Westmead.  Penelopes Cruzn checked off Crackerjack Pest approaching the home turn and collided with Spritely Pizazz as a result.  Blue Westmead and Spritely Pizazz collided entering the home straight causing Spritely Pizazz to fall.

Penelopes Cruzn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to its right hind leg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Pop Do It was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Soxy was slow to begin.  Amlin's Magic, Allen Varmint, Barked Off, Just Smile and Moltisanti collided approaching the first turn.  Zahra Bella crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Allen Varmint, Moltisanti and Pop Do It and severely checking Barked Off and Just Smile. Barked Off checked off Just Smile approaching the home turn.  Just Smile raced wide entering the home straight.  Amlin's Magic checked off Moltisanti in the home straight checking Pop Do It.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Lloyd, the trainer of Magic Reindeer regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Magic Reindeer last raced on 14th February 2016.  Mr. Lloyd stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a toe injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Magic Reindeer trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.75.  The greyhound won by a margin of 7 lengths.  Magic Reindeer was cleared.
