Kharlessi was quick to begin. High Hopes and Jumper's Girl were slow to begin.

Pretty And Witty collided with High Hopes on the first turn checking Pretty And Witty. Kharlessi collided with Dark Harmony approaching the home turn checking Dark Harmony. Spa Cheang checked of Dark Harmony and collided with High Hopes on the home turn. Jumper's Girl checked of Stinga Darling in the home straight. Spa Cheang collided with Dark Harmony approaching the winning post.

Kuklinski and Spa El Jay were slow to begin.

Kuklinski, El Amanda and Varix collided on the first turn checking El Amanda. Spa Zoom checked of Varix on the first turn. Kuklinski checked off Varix on the first turn checking Spa Zoom. Va Va Voom raced wide approaching the home turn.

El Amanda was vetted and  revetted following race 5.  It was reported the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

La Porsche was slow to begin.

Allen Emmett checked off  Dimple Way approaching the first turn checking Spectrum. Kansas Turnpike checked of Fly Walcott on the first turn checking La Porsche and Spectrum. Kansas Turnpike checked off La Porsche approaching the home turn and stumbled as a result. Leefull Shot checked off Dimple Way entering the home straight.

Kansas Turnpike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained Injuries to the left shoulder and right coupling, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Tarks Legend was slow to begin.

Colonel Destini crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Murrumboola, Fog Of War, Poppins, Scarlet Maid and Cry Baby Jeff. Poppins checked off Cry Baby Jeff on the first turn. Murrumboola and Poppins collided in the back straight checking Poppins. Scarlet Maid checked off Fog Of War on the second turn checking Poppins. Fog Of War checked off Scarlet Maid on the home turn. Scarlet Maid checked off Colonel Destini in the home straight.

Fireball Fury and Lektra Candy were slow to begin.

Five Paws checked off Anathema approahing the first turn. Sweet Millions collided with Nelly Allen on the first turn checking Nelly Allen, Purcell Bale, Orthia Bale and Fireball Fury. Fireball Fury collided with Orthia Bale approaching the home turn. Purcell Bale raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Dude Rancher was slow to begin.

Zoenah's Entity and Chunuk Bair collided soon after the start. Chunuk Bair and Impressive Lily collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Uno Krystal and Zoenah's Entity collided on the first turn. Chunuk Bair checked off Impressive Lily on the second turn. Why Not Lindsay raced wide throughout the event.

Why Not Lindsay collapsed in the catching pen following the event and was pronounced deceased by the club's veterinary surgeon. Stewards ordered a sample to be taken and a post mortem to be conducted.

Lektra Scarlett, Effone and Archie's Brother collided soon after the start checking Effone which collided with Kraken Old Frank as a result. Heza Loony, Excel Like Quade and Why Not Lizzie collided on the first turn checking Excel Like Quade. Lektra Scarlett and Why Not Lizzie collided on the second turn. Excel Like Quade checked off Shaw Street Race on the second turn checking Kraken Old Frank. Effone and Why Not Lizzie collided on the home turn. Archie's Brother checked off Kraken Old Frank in the home straight and raced wide as a result.

Stewards charged registered person Mr. T. Butt under rule GAR46 for failing to retrieve the greyhound Lektra Scarlett from its kennel by the appointed time. Mr. Butt pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $100.
