Steward's Report
Ledaro Ted was a late scratching at 11.08am by Order of Stewards. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke with Mr. D. Callaway, representing trainer Mr. C. Callaway, regarding the circumstances pertaining to the late scratching of Ledaro Ted. Stewards charged Mr. D. Callaway, pursuant to GAR 86(o) for failing to present the greyhound Ledaro Ted for racing, which in the opinion of stewards was negligent.
Mr. Callaway pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Callaway was found guilty as charged and fined the sum $150.
Bit Of Darley was slow to begin. Special Times, Starlight Whirl and Summar Reg collided soon after the start. Starlight Whirl raced wide approaching the first turn and collided with Bit Of Darley. Special Times checked off Yap Yap Galo approaching the first turn. Starlight Whirl raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight. Yap Yap Galo and Summar Reg collided in the home straight. Yap Yap Galo, Summar Reg and Bit Of Darley collided in the home straight. Starlight Whirl, Summar Reg and Bit Of Darley collided in the home straight checking Summar Reg.
Yap Yap Galo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
