Steward's Report
Piero and Santa's Serena were slow to begin.
Santa's Serena, Lizooka and Spaniard collided soon after the start checking Spaniard and Santa's Serena. Piero severely checked off Santa's Serena approaching the first turn. All Black Jack galloped on the heels of Up There Herbie on the first turn checking Up There Herbie, All Black Jack, Santa's Serena and Lizooka. Up There Herbie contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. All Black Jack checked off Lizooka approaching the home turn severely checking Piero, Spaniard and Santa's Serena.
Spaniard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind. No stand down period was imposed.
Up There Herbie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
