Steward's Report
Sweet Sambuca was slow to begin. Suspicious Cal was very slow to begin (3L). Sweet Sambuca checked off Arlo Bale soon after the start. Tanjira, Cosmic George and Arlo Bale collided soon after the start, checking Cosmic George. Bulk Carnage and Tanjira collided on the first turn, checking Bulk Carnage, Xylem Hay, Sweet Sambuca and Cosmic George. Sweet Sambuca checked off Bulk Carnage approaching the home turn. Tanjira marred Arlo Bale on the home turn, checking Arlo Bale as a result. Xylem Hay and Suspicious Cal collided entering the home straight. Xylem Hay, Tanjira and Arlo Bale collided in the home straight, checking Tanjira. Xylem Hay and Arlo Bale collided several times approaching the winning post.
Tanjira was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Jaensch , the handler of the greyhound Tanjira regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tanjira with marring. Mr M Jaensch pleaded guiltyy to the charge, Tanjira was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
