Steward's Report
Big Will was a late scratching at 11:03am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms S.Eustace was fined the sum of $100.
This race was rescheduled to 4:10pm due to rain causing issues with the track earlier in the meeting.
A pre race sample was taken from Vane Blue.
Azza and Smithers were slow to begin. Laniakea and Smithers collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark. Laniakea crossed to the rail at the 250m mark. Smithers crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Azza and Parrot Is Loose collided at the 225m mark. Sindy's Girl galloped on the heels of Parrot Is Loose approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds.
Meeting Comments:
Following event five all races were put back one race due to consistent rain, which contributed to the tractor becoming bogged on the track at the 90m mark. The track was repaired, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied that it was safe for racing. The track was downgraded to slow at 2:05pm..
Following event six all races were put back one further race due to consistant rain causing issues with the track.
