Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr K. Virtue, Trainer of Banjo Bewdy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Banjo Bewdy last raced on 2 March 2015. Mr Virtue stated that the greyhound has been on season.
Gangalla Lodge, Nitro Deception and Banjo Bewdy were quick to begin. Gangalla Lodge and Glamorous Cheech collided soon after the start. Glamorous Cheech, Nitro Deception, Destini Wildfire and Rogernator collided soon after the start. Rogernator and Allen Jersey collided on the first turn. Glamorous Cheech and Nitro Deception collided on the first turn checking Glamorous Cheech. Rogernator and Allen Jersey collided on the home turn. Rogernator eased entering the home straight and collided with Allen Jersey.
Rogernator was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Briganti, Trainer of Rogernator. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Rogernator with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Briganti pleaded guilty to the charge, Rogernator was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
