Eri Bale was very slow to begin (10 lengths). Urana Gold was slow to begin. Ima Lonely Girl and Walk On By collided soon after the start checking Walk On By. Walk On By and Urana Gold collided on the first turn. Gold Cup and Misty Febey collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Gold Cup. Ima Lonely Girl and Urana Gold collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight severely checking both greyhounds. Ima Lonely Girl and Urana Gold collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Eri Bale raced wide in the home straight.

Eri Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms K. Jordan, the representative of Eri Bale regarding the greyhound's box manners.

Daphne Allen and Lektra Connie were quick to begin. Lettuce Hold On and Farce Allen collided approaching the first turn. Farce Allen and Lettuce Hold On collided approaching the home turn checking Lettuce Hold On. Daphne Allen and Call Me Deita collided approaching the home turn checking Call Me Deita. Lettuce Hold On and Margi's Girl collided approaching the home turn. Oakstar checked off Lektra Connie approaching the home turn. Oakstar and Farce Allen collided on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Lettuce Hold On and Margi's Girl collided on the home turn, checking Lettuce Hold On which raced wide as a result. Farce Allen and Oakstar collided in the home straight.

Hardy's Me Mum and Footy Fever were slow to begin. Kick Like Mick and Footy Fever collided on the first turn. Hardy's Me Mum, Baroness Tiffie, Nemeis Bale and Spritely Boy collided on the first turn, checking Nemesis Bale, Footy Fever and Kick Like Mick and severely checking Baroness Tiffie which stumbled as a result.

Baroness Tiffie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre race sample taken from the greyhound Onslaught was aborted due to a fault with the sample kit, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Ninja Apple and Kenso Bale was slow to begin. Allen Yeller and Stefanovic collided soon after the start checking Stefanovic. Onslaught, Allen Yeller, Four Four Two and Heart In Motion collided on the first turn. Stefanovic and Kenso Bale collided on the first turn. Ninja Apple and Heart In Motion collided approaching the home turn checking Ninja Apple. Ninja Apple and Kenso Bale collided on the home turn checking Ninja Apple which collided with Stefanovic, checking Stefanovic. 

George Sannette was slow to begin. Agility and Speed Chill collided soon after the start. Speed Chill, Agility, Iona Muffin Top, Sisco Fiasco and Hook Him In collided soon after the start checking Hook Him In, Sisco Fiasco, Agility and Iona Muffin Top. Hook Him In, Speed Chill and Agility collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Hook Him In and Agility collided on the second turn checking Agility. Hook Him In checked off Iona Muffin Top approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from George Sannette - the winner of the event. 

Miss Cersei was quick to begin. Jasmine Lilly, Sally Gardens and Just Ducal collided approaching the first turn. Sisco Wake checked off Zipping Geoff approaching the first turn. Rain Stream, Zipping Geoff and Sally Gardens collided on the first turn checking Sally Gardens and Just Ducal. Just Ducal galloped on the heels of Tears Siam approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Just Ducal checked off Sally Gardens on the third turn.

Tears Siam was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and the medial left knee, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dory Bale, Dot Com Diesel and Tankster collided approaching the first turn checking Dot Com Diesel. Dory Bale and Electro Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Dory Bale. Dory Bale, Tankster and Seabrook Joel collided on the first turn checking Dory Bale. Dory Bale and Dot Com Diesel collided approaching the home turn. Seabrook Joel and Mahogany Saphire collided on the home turn checking Mahogany Saphire and Tankster. Dory Bale crossed to the outside on the home turn. Seabrook Joel checked off Black Macoy in the home straight. Tankster and Mahogany Saphire collided in the home straight.

Tankster was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Hansen trainer of the greyhound King Size Shambi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.King Size Shambi last raced on the 23 May 2015. Mr Hansen stated that the greyhound had recovered from a hock injury. Mr Hansen also declared a new weight of 36.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). King Size Shambi last raced at 37.8kg.

Mr B. Keel, handler of the greyhound Blue Revolver redeclared a new weight of 31.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Blue Revolver last raced at 30.2kg.

Dyna Lemmy and Walt Bale collided soon after the start checking Dyna Lemmy. Boo Shan and King Size Shambi collided soon after the start. Pyromania checked off Blue Revolver on the first turn. Stop Moochin' and Pyromania collided in the home straight checking Stop Moochin'.

Red Light Runner, Dragon Empire and Jackie Baxter collided soon after the start checking Red Light Runner and Dragon Empire. Here's Archie and Cudgee Destroyer collided on the first turn checking Uncool Albert. Here's Archie checked off Belena Prince approaching the home turn. Remote Control and Red Light Runner collided approaching the home turn checking Red Light Runner. Cudgee Destroyer and Uncool Albert collided approaching the home turn. Remote Control galloped on the heels of Cudgee Destroyer in the home straight severely checking both greyhounds and causing Remote Control to race wide. Dragon Empire raced wide in the home straight.

Chief Brit, Scrubby Nichols and Penelopes Cruzn were quick to begin. Ressler and Morning Cruise were slow to begin. Chief Brit and Morning Cruise collided approaching the home turn checking Morning Cruise. Chief Brit and Morning Cruise collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Ressler and Morning Cruise collided approaching the winning post.

Hardaway Law was a late scratching at 9:39am due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr R. Handyside, trainer of the greyhound Nala's Heart redeclared a new weight of 27.0kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nala's Heart last raced at 28.4kg.
