Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Shirdon Connorae, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Shirdon Connorae was slow to begin. Peregrin Stealth, Shirdon Connorae and Aston Gatum collided soon after the start causing Shirdon Connorae to stumble. Tybellene brushed the running rail on the first turn. Jindara checked off Aston Gatum on the first turn. Shirdon Connorae galloped on the heels of Tybellene entering the back straight severely checking Tybellene. Dewana Hitman and Aston Gatum collided in the back straight. One Cup Short checked off Aston Gatum on the third turn.
Tybellene was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Dewana Hitman, the winner of the event.
