The closing of the kennels was delayed approximately ten minutes due to an computer system malfunction. Kennelling was conducted manually.

This event was hand timed due to a technical issue. The time of the event was 30.50.

Nifty Neveelk and Miss Johannsen were slow to begin. Alpha Leva Keato and Jesaulenko collided soon after the start. Bella Oil and Pendles Power collided on the first turn, checking Bella Oil. Oakmont Malawi and Pendles Power collided on the second turn. Nifty Neveelk and Alpha Leva Keato collided on the third turn, checking Alpha Leva Keato. Alpha Leva Keato checked off Pendles Power approaching the home turn, causing Alpha Leva Keato to stumble, checking Sweet About Lola. Oakmont Malawi and Alpha Leva Keato collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the Trainer of Dr Phil with regards to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mr McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after sustaining a sesamoid injury. Stewards noted Mr McMahon's comments.

Woofenden was slow to begin. Dr Phil and Cosmic Yap collided on the first turn, checking Cosmic Yap, Unbound, Willowvale Black and severely checking You Say So which lost considerable ground as a result.

You Say So was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Subsequently to the event Stewards spoke to the trainer of Waterfront, Ms D.Johnston, regarding the greyhound's apparent improved performance this evening. Ms Johnston stated that the greyhound trialled at the track last Monday over the 315m and ran the second quickest trial of the day. She also noted that after the greyhound had jumped smartly this evening the greyhound had a clear run throughout the event. Stewards noted Mr Johnston's comments and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Satisfactory Trial Results: Loyal Miss trialled over the 315m from box 7, weight 25.1kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 18.83, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5 lengths. Loyal Miss was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results: Rambo's Party trialled over the 395m from box 1, weight 35.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.93, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.5 lengths. Rambo's Party was cleared.
