Perfect View and Kiarni Miss were slow to begin. Lively Major, Calico King, Super Indigo and Ruby Be Mine collided soon after the start checking Ruby Be Mine. Calico King checked off Super Indigo approaching the first turn. Brent Bale, Super Indigo and Lively Major collided on the first turn checking Super Indigo, Lively Major, Ruby Be Mine and Bull Bar Neville. Super Indigo checked off Calico King approaching the home turn. Lively Major and Perfect View collided approaching the home turn severely checking Lively Major. Perfect View raced wide in the home straight.
Lively Major was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
