Steward's Report
A Pre race sample was taken from Exquisite Shiraz.
Exquisite Shiraz and Woondella Candy were quick to begin. Proven Stellar was slow to begin. Spicy Bling and Broadway Girl collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Broadway Girl. Darego and Proven Stellar collided on the first turn. White Sugar and Escapade Jess collided on the first turn. Proven Stellar checked off Exquisite Shiraz approaching the second turn. Exquisite Shiraz, White Sugar and Proven Stellar collided on the third turn. Exquisite Shiraz checked off Broadway Girl approaching the home turn. Woondella Candy and Proven Stellar collided on the home turn. White Sugar and Woondella Candy collided on the home turn checking Woondella Candy.
White Sugar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Wheeler, the trainer of White Sugar regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.
