Luck Me Days, King Jeff Drew, Notorious Boy and Blue Shiraz were slow to begin. Dawn Angel and Miss Calypso collided soon after the start checking Dawn Angel. Luck Me Days, Go Dorrie and Blue Shiraz collided approaching the home turn severely checking Notorious Boy, Dawn Angel and Go Dorrie, Go Dorri fell as a result. Notorious Boy and Miss Calypso collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Blue Shiraz raced wide in the home straight. Go Dorrie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
