Surefire and Blue Murray were slow to begin. Dashing Impulse and Shima Gold collided soon after the start. Surefire galloped on the heels of Mahlo Blackhawk on the first turn, severely checking Mahlo Blackhawk. Surefire and Bekim's Elite collided approaching the home turn. Blue Murray checked off Dashing Impulse approaching the home turn. Bekim's Elite raced wide on the home turn. Play Alone checked off Aston Levi in the home straight. Play Alone checked off Shima Gold in the home straight. 

Mahlo Blackhawk was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ma Ma Keogh and Burning House were quick to begin. City And Colour and Gabrielle Allen collided approaching the first turn. Philo Bale, Mc Fipa and Cosmic Josie collided approaching the first turn, checking Mc Fipa and Cosmic Josie. Mc Fipa and Cosmic Josie collided on the first turn, checking Cosmic Josie. Gabrielle Allen and Mc Fipa collided approaching the home turn, checking Mc Fipa. Ma Ma Keogh and Philo Bale collided in the home straight. Gabrielle Allen and City And Colour collided in the home straight, checking Gabrielle Allen. Burning House checked off Weasley Grange in the home straight.

Cosmic Josie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Stelio Kontos.

Daintree Alice and Stelio Kontos were slow to begin. Stelio Kontos checked off Sunday Sess soon after the start. Darpa Bale and Daintree Alice collided approaching the first turn. Darpa Bale checked off Lady Lurcher on the first turn, checking Stelio Kontos, and causing Darpa Bale to race wide. 

Nitro Swagger was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start. Shocking Onyx, Dyna Willem, Riley Bale and Gator Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Willem. Shocking Onyx and Riley Bale collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Gator Bale checked off Nitro Swagger approaching the home turn. Shocking Onyx checked off Dyna Willem on the home turn and raced wide as a result. 

Shocking Onyx was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greryhound sustained an abrasion to the head. No stand down period was imposed.Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Shocking Onyx regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dyna Camo.

Dyna Camo was slow to begin. Zipping Johnny stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (8 Lengths). Signal Peak and Show Bag Carter collided approaching the first turn, checking Show Bag Carter. Signal Peak and World's On Fire collided approaching the home turn. Dyna Yavin eased in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins, the handler of the greyhound Dyna Yavin regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Dyna Yavin was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left sesamoid and left quadriceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged  Dyna Yavin with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Collins pleaded  guilty to the charge, Dyna Yavin was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Enola Gay was quick to begin. Pupetta Maresca and Latte Donny collided approaching the first turn, checking Pupetta Maresca. Fordo Bale, Latte Donny, Enola Gay, Kalara and Bingo Sally collided on the first turn, checking Latte Donny and Bingo Sally. Bingo Sally raced wide on the home turn.

Still The One was slow to begin. Airbound and Irish Asteria collided approaching the first turn, checking Irish Asteria. Bear's Gold and Ultimate Magic collided on the first turn. Ultimate Magic and Still The One collided approaching the home turn. Ivy Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Anustar was slow to begin. Lektra Peck, Rosie Allen, Just Like Fire and Spring Alis collided approaching the first turn, checking Rosie Allen, Just Like Fire and Spring Alis. Just Like Fire checked off Spring Alis approaching the home turn. Rosie Allen galloped on the heels of Vista Flash on the home turn, checking Rosie Allen, Vista Flash and Spring Alis.

Instant Allen was slow to begin. She's Dee Rocket was quick to begin. Dream Ticket and Midnight Ride collided on the first turn, checking Skyes Apprentice and Instant Allen. Jackie Baxter and Instant Allen collided approaching the home turn. She's Dee Rocket and It's All Talk collided in the home straight. She's Dee Rocket checked off It's All Talk in the home straight. She's Dee Rocket checked off Dynamic Spin in the home straight.

Dyna Nana was a late scratching at 6.13p.m. due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms V. Cotton, the trainer of Maximum Owie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Maximum Owie last raced on 31st May, 2016. Ms. Cotton stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel. Ms. Cotton also declared a new weight of 28.6kg  for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Maximum Owie last raced at 27.4kg.

Oh Lele Peter was slow to begin. Airborn And Gone crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Gunnadoo Will and Oh Lele Peter. Gunnadoo Will and Airborn And Gone collided approaching the home turn, checking Gunnadoo Will. Maximum Owie and Connie Bale collided in the home straight.
