A pre race sample was taken from Shezza's Nitro.
Rocket Riley was slow to begin. Rocket Riley crossed to the outside soon after the start. Black Edge and Radianr Rose collided soon after the start. Howth checked off Jersey approaching the home turn. All Inn Piper, Shezza's Nitro and Jersey collided approaching the home turn checking Shezza's Nitro and Jersey. Radiant Rose, All Inn Piper and Jersey collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn Piper and Jersey and severely checking Shezza's Nitro. Rocket Riley galloped on the heels of Shezza's Nitro approaching the home turn severely checking Shezza's Nitro and severely checking Rocket Riley which stumbled. Black Edge and Fatboy Linc collided on the home turn. Howth and Jersey collided on the home turn and in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Black Edge and Howth collided approaching the winning post.
Shezza's Nitro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right writ sprain. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Rocket Riley was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
