Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Pattinson the trainer of Hukanui regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hukanui last raced on 26/05/16. Mr. Pattinson stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.
Napalm and Phil Miyoot were slow to begin. Napalm was checked off Black Pontiac approaching the first turn. Napalm and Phil Miyoot collided approaching the first turn. Mizuki and Booma Mikado collided approaching the first turn checking Booma Mikado. Dyna Zeek crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Black Pontiac, Lakeview Harley and Mizuki. Lakeview Harley was checked off Black Pontiac approaching the home turn. Napalm was checked off Phil Miyoot approaching the home turn..
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins the representative of Dyna Zeek regarding the greyhound's improved performance. Mr. Collins stated that the greyhound had obtained a clear run tonight and was able to run up to its potential. Stewards noted the explanation and a sample was taken.
Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Wisener the trainer of Napalm and issued her with a warning after she applied Sorbolene to the greyhound's track leg bandage prior to the event without approval from the Stewards GAR 35.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber and issued her with a warning after her greyhound Booma Mikado raced with two sided blinkers instead of a right sided blinker only GAR 36(2).
