Mates Blue was quick to begin.  Diamond Maxine and Dyna Omen were slow to begin. Diamond Maxine and Dyna Omen collided soon after the start.  Kayo King, Soda Sky and Lachlan's Rough collided soon after the start severely checking Lachlan's Rough which stumbled and lost considerable ground.  Dyna Omen was checked off Diamond Maxine on the first turn.  Dyna Omen was checked off Ima Reality at the winning post.

Lachlan's Rough was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle and an abrasion to the right front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Pattinson the trainer of Hukanui regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hukanui last raced on 26/05/16.  Mr. Pattinson stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.

Napalm and Phil Miyoot were slow to begin.  Napalm was checked off Black Pontiac approaching the first turn.  Napalm and Phil Miyoot collided approaching the first turn.  Mizuki and Booma Mikado collided approaching the first turn checking Booma Mikado.  Dyna Zeek crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Black Pontiac, Lakeview Harley and Mizuki.  Lakeview Harley was checked off Black Pontiac approaching the home turn.  Napalm was checked off Phil Miyoot approaching the home turn..

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins the representative of Dyna Zeek regarding the greyhound's improved performance.  Mr. Collins stated that the greyhound had obtained a clear run tonight and was able to run up to its potential.  Stewards noted the explanation and a sample was taken.

Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Wisener the trainer of Napalm and issued her with a warning after she applied Sorbolene to the greyhound's track leg bandage prior to the event without approval from the Stewards GAR 35.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber and issued her with a warning after her greyhound Booma Mikado raced with two sided blinkers instead of a right sided blinker only GAR 36(2).

Spoil The Party was slow to begin.  Up The Attitude and Down Every Road collided soon after the start.  He's Some Love and Texas Tommy collided approaching the first turn.  Dozer Tron, He's Some Love and Texas Tommy collided approaching the first turn checking He's Some Love and Tiger Rance.  Dozer Tron raced wide on the first turn checking Down Every Road and severley checking Texas Tommy which collided with Up The Attitude as a result.  Spoil The Party was checked off Up The Attitude on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Dowsey the trainer of Regional Chief regarding the greyhound's improved performance.  Mr. Dowsey stated that the greyhound had been trialling well, had a clear run and was down in class. Stewards noted Mr. Dowsey's explanation and a sample was taken.

Aston Philou and Zelemar Zonk were slow to begin.  Paua To Rush and Beautiful Rick collided soon after the start checking Paua To Rush.  Aston Philou was checked off Zelemar Zonk on the first turn. Beautiful Rick was checked off Hunter's Hero approaching the home turn. Paua To Rush and Hunter's Hero collided approaching the home turn.  Dyna Yavin and Hundred collided entering the home straight.

Kenyatta was slow to begin.  Dessie Walnut and Burnsy's Sam collided soon after the start checking Burnsy's Sam and Really Magic.  Dotti Zulu, Zahra Bella and Stolen collided on the first turn checking Burnsy's Sam, Dotti Zulu and Stolen.  Really Magic was checked off Burnsy's Sam on the first turn.  Dessie Walnut, Don The Sash and Burnsy's Sam collided approaching the home turn severely checking Kenyatta, Really Magic and Burnsy's Sam and causing Don The Sash to fall, Burnsy's Sam stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.

Don The Sash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder muscle and a torn nail on a right front toe, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
