Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr R Clark, the trainer of Mystic Marlow, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mystic Marlow last raced on 24 May 2016. Mr Clark stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after an illness.
A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Vane.
One Mississippi and Pop Ya Bubble were slow to begin. Connie Bale and Handsome Cosmo collided soon after the start. One Mississippi checked off Mystic Marlow approaching the first turn. Lektra Oscar and Handsome Cosmo collided on the first turn, checking Lektra Oscar. Lektra Damage and Mystic Marlow collided approaching the home turn, checking One Mississippi. Handsome Cosmo and Connie Bale collided approaching the home turn. Mystic Marlow raced wide on the home turn. Pop Ya Bubble raced wide in the home straight. Connie Bale checked off Lektra Damage in the home straight.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J Quinlivian, the trainer of Disaaci regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Disaaci last raced on 7 August 2016. Mr Quinlivian stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from retirement. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Disaaci trialled over the 410m from box five, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.61, the greyhound won by a margin of two lengths. Disaaci was Cleared.
