Johnny Scull and Frothy Flyer collided on the first turn.  Our Wild Emily was checked off Frothy Flyer approaching the second turn.  Our Wild Emily galloped on Frothy Flyer entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Bernmar Terry, Frothy Flyer, Our Wild Emily and Brandeen Peaches collided on the third turn checking Frothy Flyer, Our Wild Emily and Brandeen Peaches and severley checking Bernmar Terry.

Bernmar Terry was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured triangle muscles and superficial abrasions to a right front toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Audacious Poppy - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Degering, the handler of Bernmar Terry regarding his difficulty in closing the lid after boxing the greyhound.  Mr. Degering stated that he had not boxed a greyhound for some time and was somewhat nervous causing him to misjudge where the handle was to lower/close the lid.  Stewards noted Mr. Degering's explanation and reminded him of his responsibilities - GAR 51(9).
