A pre-race sample was taken from Tilly Court.
Rose of Dyanna was slow to begin. Still Destined and Dr. Double Malt collided approaching the first turn checking Still Destined. Tilly Court and Bronelly Spike collided on the first turn severley checking Rose Of Dyanna and Dr. Double Malt causing Lonesome Dude to fall. Dr. Double Malt was checked off Rose Of Dyanna on the first turn and fell as a result. Tilly Court, Aston Salute and Walt's Star collided entering the back straight checking Aston Salute and Walt's Star. Bronelly Spike was checked off Walt's Star in the back straight. Aston Salute was checked off Walt's Star on the second turn. Bronelly Spike raced wide on the home turn.
Lonesome Dude was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left quadriceps and left triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
