Running Yards was slow to begin. Ninghan Express and Repelo Muggletum collided soon after the start. Invictus Reign and Fantasy McQueen collided soon after the start. Repelo Muggletum and Genius Free collided approaching the first turn. Monster Roar checked off Dream Of Success on the first turn. Fantasy McQueen checked off Repelo Muggletum on the first turn. Dream Of Success raced wide on the home turn. Genius Free checked off Ninghan Express approaching the home turn. Monster Roar and Genius Free collided approaching the winning post, checking Monster Roar.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards today concluded an inquiry from the Geelong Racing Club Tuesday 23rd August, 2016 where the incorrect greyhound was presented for Race 10. Initial evidence was taken from handler Ms. K. Jordan on the day. Stewards today spoke to registered Trainer Mr. M. Nash. Stewards charged Mr. Nash under GAR 86 (0) in that he failed to ensure that the correct greyhound was presented for Race 10, which in the opinion of the stewards was negligent. Mr. Nash pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Nash was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.
