Steward's Report
Smiley Sam, Call Me Hank, Cudgee Destroyer and Peregon Flyer collided soon after the start. Authentic Ace and Call Me Hank collided on the first turn. Authentic Ace eased on the first turn and collided with Peregon Flyer. Cudgee Destroyer raced wide on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Harrowfield, the trainer of the greyhound Authentic Ace regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Authentic Ace was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Authentic Ace with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Harrowfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Authentic Ace was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Belana Prince was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 11. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hip, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr R.Brewer, the trainer of the greyhound Belena Prince. Stewards deemed the performance of Belena Prince unsatisfactory approaching the home turn in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed Belena Prince must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
