Premier DIva, Elswyk Max, Dr. Carlos and Tekki Breeze collided soon after the start checking Premier Diva, Elswyk Max and Dr. Carlos.  Advocate checked off Creative Times on the first turn.  Tekki Breeze and Senorita Fairy collided on the first turn severely checking Tekki Breeze which contacted the running rail, faltered and lost considerable ground; Premier Diva, Elswyk Max and Dr. Carlos were checked as a result.  Senorita Fairy galloped on the heels of Hit Legs approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Premier Diva and Dr. Carlos collided approaching the home turn.

Tekki Breeze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to its left stifle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Roll 'Em Sharkey was quick to begin.  Pacific Magic was slow to begin.  King Farouk and Smashing Cans collided soon after the start checking King Farouk.  Kiyoshi galloped on the heels of Rol 'Em Sharkey severely checking Kiyoshi, Smashing Cans and Deliverance and causing Winter Shanks to fall; Winter Shanks checked King Farouk which raced wide and Delivernace faltered and tailed off as a result. 

Winter Shanks was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Deliverance was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractured left hind toes and lacerations between its pads.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Break Your Heart, Hanify's Revenge and Bright Eyed Girl were slow to begin.  Mazoku, Pacific Impulse and Gee Whiz Gran collided soon after the start checking Gee Whiz Gran and Pacific Impulse.  Mazoku galloped on the heels of Bright Eyed Girl on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Break Your Heart checked off Bright Eyed Girl on the first turn and raced wide; Break Your Heart checked Mazoku which faltered and tailed off as a result.

Mazoku was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards questioned Mr L Mitchell as to his intentions for the nomination and subsequent scratching of Magic Door in this event. Mr Mitchell stated that Magic Door was unfit to race due to sustaining an injury after coursing on Sunday 26/7/15 and did not feel he could get the greyhound sound to race in today's event. Stewards noted his explanations and advised him that a veterinary certificate must be produced before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards questioned Mr L Mitchell, the representative for K Mitchell, as to his intentions for the nomination and subsequent scratching of Maddy Maldini in this event. Mr Mitchell stated the grayhound had recently been checked, found to be injured and unfit to race today. Stewards noted the explination and Mr L Mitchell will advised the trainer that a veterinary certificate must be produced before any future nomination will be accepted.

Somebody's Image and Champagne Belle were quick to begin.  Lopsided and Runnin' Hot were slow to begin.  Light Feathers crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Light Feathers and Doovalacky.  Doovalacky raced wide approaching the second turn severely checking.

Held Hostage was slow to begin.  Dr. Oden and Daintree Jim collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Nicholas and Held Hostage collided on the first turn severely checking Held Hostage.  Dr. Nicholas and Dr. Oden collided approaching the home turn.  Diegonator raced wide on the home turn.  Dr. Oden and Daintree Jim collided entering the home straight checking Daintree Jim.

Charlie's Lady and Atari Flash were quick to begin.  Arvo's Texan, Dr. Ragnar and Our Guy were slow to begin.  Atari Flash and Debralicious collided soon after the start checking Atari Flash.  Shanks Very Much and Charlie's Lady collided soon after the start checking Charlie's Lady.  Charlie's Lady and Dr. Ragnar collided approaching the first turn checking Charlie's Lady.  Arvo's Texan and Dr. Ragnar collided on the first turn.  Charlie's Lady raced wide on the first turn checking Atari Flash.  Atari Flash raced wide on the home turn.  In Dee Begining and Our Guy collided approaching the winning post checking In Dee Begining.

Stewards spoke to Mr E Gemci, the trainer of Alexia Rae regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Alexia Rae last raced on 7th April, 2015. Mr Gemci stated that the greyhound has had a seasonal spell during this time.

Alexia Rae and Dr. Duez were quick to begin.  Barroom Express, Crying In Vegas and Pacific Dreamer were slow to begin.  Dr. Trojan was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Pacific Dreamer galloped on the heels of Dessie Walnut approaching the first turn checking Pacific Dreamer.  Tiger Eyed Jack checked off Dessie Walnut approaching the first turn.  Pacific Dreamer raced wide on the home turn.

Pacific Reef and Stick Hero were quick to begin.  Dr. Dynomite, Funky Pirate and Renajohn were slow to begin.  Pacific Reef and Cosmic Noodle collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Noodle.  Renajohn and Cosmic Noodle collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Noodle and severely checking Renajohn.  Funky Pirate and Cosmic Noodle raced wide on the home turn.

Don's Shy Girl was quick to begin.  Lunar Magic was very slow to begin.  Ravenwood crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Here The Echo and Dr. Balboa.  Don's Shy Girl and Ravenwood collided on the first turn checking Don's Shy Girl.  Here The Echo and Dr. Balboa collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Here The Echo.  Here The Echo and Lunar Magic collided on the home turn and raced wide as a result.  Amlin Sally raced wide on the home turn.

Beetle Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Machiko and Ima Trying were quick to begin.  Looks Special, Night Explosion and Life Member were slow to begin.  Looks Special and Night Explosion collided soon after the start checking Looks Special.  Arvo's Kal and Machiko collided soon after the start checking Arvo's Kal.  Arvo's Kal and Looks Special collided approaching the first turn severely checking Arvo's Kal and causing Looks Special to fall.  Machiko and Night Explosion collided approaching the first turn checking Night Explosion.  Shooter's Class, Ima Trying and Life Member collided on the first turn.  Night Explosion raced wide approaching the home turn.  Life Member galloped on the heels of Ima Trying approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Arvo's Kal and Night Explosion raced wide on the home turn.

Arvo's Kal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right forearm, left front toes and left back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Looks Special was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left shoulder.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S Clarke the trainer of Looks Special after he entered onto the track to attend to his greyhound during the event when directed not to do so by the starter. Mr Clarke was reminded of his responsibilities and the dangers of being on the track whilst the lure is in motion.

Surfin' Tatti was quick to begin.  Suplex City and Lil' Scallywag were slow to begin.  Surfin' Tatti and Sweet Shiraz collided soon after the start checking Sweet Shiraz.  Surfin' Tatti and You Can't Play collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Tekki Lightning, Surfin' Tatti and Zavalla collided on the first turn checking Surfin' Tatti and severely checking Zavalla.  Surfin' Tatti crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and clipped the heels of Suplex City as a result.  Surfin' Tatti and Lil' Scallywag raced wide on the home turn.

Andrej's was quick to begin.  Tekki Spader, Briscoe Briscoe and Letty Bee were slow to begin.  Rack Tap Rack and Stormy Reign collided soon after the start checking Rack Tap Rack.  Stormy Reign galloped on the heels of Andrej's on the first turn checking Stormy Reign.  Briscoe Briscoe and Elswyk Gal collided approaching the home turn checking Briscoe Briscoe and severely checking Elswyk Gal.  Black Mumbo and Stormy Reign collided approaching the home turn severely checking Black Mumbo.  Briscoe Briscoe raced wide on the home turn.  Andrej's and Stormy Reign raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial

Nutcase Sambia trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 33.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.52.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths.  Nutcase Sambia was cleared.
