Houston Bale and Snooky were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Sketchy and Dr. Klaas collided soon after the start. Houston Bale and Snooky collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Chrystal checked off Abscond on the first turn checking Dr. Klaas and Magic Rama. Sketchy and Snooky collided on the third turn checking Sketchy, severely checking Snooky. Snooky veered out and marred Magic Rama on the home turn checking Magic Rama.
Snooky was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Ms K. Smith, Representative for Trainer of Snooky. Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Snooky with marring. Ms Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Snooky was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
