Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Starter, Mr G. Glass did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Jordy Junior, Jet Pack Model and Sticka Step collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Jet Pack Model checked off Jordy Junior on the first turn and collided with Sticka Step. Spur Tron and Super Patricia collided on the first turn checking Spur Tron and Bruzzy Boucheau. Spur Tron and Jordy Junior collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Spur Tron and Jordy Junior, checking Jet Pack Model and Sticka Step: Jordy Junior contacted the running rail as a result. Super Patricia and Fredwyn collided approaching the home turn. Sticka Step and Jordy Junior collided several times on the home turn and again in the home straight, severely checking both greyhounds which lost considerable ground as a result.
Jordy Junior was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained severe lacerations (grade 3) and a deep puncture wound to the underlying muscles above the left stifle bone and was humanely euthanased.
