Girl Guide and Watch This Space were slow to begin.  Sun Power crossed to the rails soon after the start and collided with Remember Train, checking Sun Power, Remember Train and Dragon's Den.  She's All Magic crossed to the rails soon after the start.  Busby Boy and She's All Magic collided at the 300m mark.  Busby Boy, She's All Magic and Sun Power collided at the 250m mark, checking Busby Boy and She's All Magic.  Aston Agile raced wide from the 200m mark until the winning post.  Girl Guide and Remember Train collided at the 50m mark.

Final Deception was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.  El Toro Loco and Purple Pie were slow to begin.  El Toro Loco and Zambora Jai collided soon after the start.  El Toro Loco checked off Wendy Lew at the 250m mark.  El Toro Loco and Zambora Jai collided at the 200m mark, checking El Toro Loco.  Wendy Lew checked off Uncatchable at the 200m mark.

This race was originally scheduled to run at 12:52pm and was subsequently rescheduled to 12:55pm.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Flash Fable, Mrs. B Harley prior to the meeting and ascertained that the greyhound had not started in a race since 27/02/2015 due to a groin injury. Mrs. B Harley, trainer of Flash Fable redeclared a new weight of 28.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Flash Fable last raced at 30.1kgs.

Rusty Gun and Da Mishka were slow to begin.  Da Mishka crossed to the rails soon after the start.  Da Mishka and Alfred Benz collided several times from the 250m mark until the 200m mark, checking Alfred Benz.  Rusty Gun, Flash Fable and Dynamic Dash collided at the 200m mark, checking Flash Fable.  Alfred Benz checked off Da Mishka at the 150m mark.  Bad Moon Rising, Da Mishka and You Won't collided at the 100m mark, checking You Won't and Alfred Benz.

Stewards spoke to handler M O'Brien regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Paradise Punch.  Stewards directed that Paradise Punch be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of All For Nothing, Mr. B Menzel prior to the meeting and ascertained that the greyhound had not started in a race since 21/03/2015 due to a right wrist injury which subsequently required surgery to remove floating bone. 

See Him Go was quick to begin.  See Him Go and All For Nothing collided soon after the start.  Punk Pirate, Psycho's Wild, All For Nothing and See Him Go collided at the 300m mark, checking Punk Pirate, Psycho's Wild and All For Nothing.  Punk Pirate and Psycho's Wild collided at the 250m mark.  Sheoak Blue Boy and Peragon Falcon collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark.  All For Nothing raced wide from the 200m mark until the winning post.

Max Moon was slow to begin.  Sorcha crossed to the rails soon after the start, causing Maverick Dusty, Stagger Express, Cobalt Mist and All Mighty One to collide, checking Stagger Express and Cobalt Mist.  Stagger Express and Big Bad Dicko collided at the 300m mark.  Some Tricks checked off Sorcha and collided with Big Bad Dicko at the 200m mark.  Maverick Dusty, Stagger Express and All Mighty One collided at the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Maverick Dusty and Stagger Express collided several times from the 100m mark until the winning post.

Unquestionably, Game Maker and Heleray Steele were slow to begin.  Game Maker, Heleray Steele and Miss Viking collided soon after the start.  Game Maker and Miss Viking collided at the 250m mark.  Game Maker, Miss Viking and Heleray Steele collilded at the 250m mark, checking Miss Viking and Game Maker.  Liam and Bran Nue Shewama collided at the 200m mark.  Liam checked off See Him Next at the 150m mark.  Game Maker checked off Bran Nue Shewama at the 150m mark.

Soldier Spy and Select Sanz were slow to begin.  Texan crossed to the rails soon after the start and collided with Cosmic Angel, checking Cosmic Angel.  Texan, Hardaway Law and Encee Eye Gibbs collided at the 300m mark.  Gospel Lass and Texan collided at the 250m mark.  Senor Grumpy, Hardaway Law and Texan collided at the 200m mark, checking Senor Grumpy and Texan.  Hardaway Law and Gospel Lass collided at the 150m mark.  Select Sanz checked off Cosmic Angel at the 150m mark.

Invictus Ash and Conspiracy were slow to begin.  Invictus Ash checked off Unexcuseable at the 300m mark.  Bigbad Fiji and Scrubby Nichols collided at the 300m mark and again at the 150m mark.  Lumpstar raced wide from the 250m mark until the winning post.

Price Tag, Stiegl and Mr. Alouette collided soon after the start.  Clovalley Belle and Price Tag collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark, checking Clovalley Belle.  Stiegl galloped on the heels of Price Tag at the 250m mark, checking Stiegl which stumbled as a result.  Clovalley Belle and Blonde Jettie collided at the 200m mark and again approaching the winning post.  Bush Caviar raced wide throughout the event.

Clovalley Belle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Black Rip, Mr. S Whitney prior to the meeting and ascertained that the greyhound had not started in a race since 23/04/2015 due to niggling injuries. None of the injuries sustained were of any great significance. 

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Deceptive Size, Mr. G Paez prior to the meeting and ascertained that the greyhound had not started in a race since 26/03/2015. Mr. G Paez could not give an explanation as to why the greyhound has not raced since March as he has only taken possession of the greyhound recently. 

Key Largo Prince and Thrashing Osti were slow to begin.  Danny Darko and Thrashing Osti collided soon after the start.  Black Rip, Deceptive Size, Izon Destruction and Osti's Explorer collided soon after the start.  Thrashing Osti and Osti's Explorer collided at the 250m mark.  Black Rip and Deceptive Size collided approaching the 200m mark.  Thrashing Osti and Deceptive Size collided at the 150m mark.  Black Rip and Deceptive Size collided at the 50m mark.

A sample was taken from Danny Darko - the winner of the event.

Deceptive Size was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left stopper, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Mott Haven.

Cavalia and Clovalley Rang were slow to begin.  Ruby's Faith and Midnight Osti collided soon after the start.  Lavie Belle and Mott Haven collided approaching the 250m mark.  Ruby's Faith, Midnight Osti, Lavie Belle and Mott Haven collided at the 250m mark, checking Lavie Belle.  Ruby's Faith and Mott Haven collided approaching the 150m mark.  Cavalia and Midnight Osti collided at the 100m mark.  Lila's Girl and Mott Haven collided approaching the winning post.

Ruby's Faith was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lower back soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Track Curator L. Rowe advised stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on 23/07/2015. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Cosmic Moon trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 32.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.31, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 4 lengths. Cosmic Moon was cleared for straight track racing only.
