Kayla Las was quick to begin. Trigger Trim and Chase On Case were slow to begin. Remember Train, Ragtime Jaymee and Need's Luck collided soon after the start checking Remember Train; Remember Train stumbled and checked Trigger Trim and Chase On Case as a result. Chase On Case checked off Need's Luck on the first turn; Chase On Case fell as a result. Ragtime Jaymee checked off Sultan's Boy in the home straight. Remember Train and Need's Luck collided approaching the winning post.
Chase On Case was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shoulder and right quadriceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
