Stewards spoke to Mr L Mitchell, the handler of Ravishing Rufus regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ravishing Rufus last raced on 23rd April 2015. Mr Mitchell stated the greyhound is returning from a dropped back muscle.  Stewards noted his comments.

Foxy Lulu and Cinquedea were quick to begin.  Ravishing Rufus was slow to begin.  Mizuki crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Hez All Black and Raven Lord.  Cinquedea crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Foxy Lulu.  Raven Lord crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Hez All Black.  Foxy Lulu and Raven Lord collided approaching the home turn.  Speed And Rocket raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Hez All Black raced wide in the home straight.

Hez All Black was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left elbow.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Tumble And Dry was quick to begin.  Sultan's Boy and Showtime Chevi were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Sultan's Boy.  Seven Gallons, Fallen Star, Life Member and Ima Trying collided approaching the first turn checking Seven Gallons and Fallen Star.  Fallen Star, Life Member and Showtime Chevi collided on the first turn checking Fallen Star and severely checking Life Member.  Life Member and Sultan's Boy collided approaching the home turn.  Ima Trying raced wide on the home turn.

Carbon Panther and Runnin' Hot were quick to begin.  Somebody's Image, Bondi Buddy and Play With Magic were slow to begin.  Carbon Panther and Aston Carbine collided approaching the first turn.  Atari Flash and Sugar Hot Sambia collided approaching the first turn checking Atari Flash.  Carbon Panther, Bondi Buddy and Aston Carbine collided on the first turn checking Aston Carbine and severely checking Carbon Panther and Bondi Buddy; Carbon Panther stumbled as a result.  Atari Flash and Sugar Hit Sambia collided entering the home straight.  Somebody's Image checked off Runnin' Hot entering the home straight.  Carbon Panther raced wide in the home straight.

Carbon Panther was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Play With Magic, the winner of the event.

Lily Dior, Bird Has Flown and Wallamba Max were slow to begin.  Runaway Ellie and Arvo's Leroy collided soon after the start.  Demon Puzzle, Bowler Best and Uno Rae collided soon after the start checking Demon Puzzle.  Demon Puzzle and Bird Has Flown collided on the first turn checking Runaway Ellie and severely checking Demon Puzzle.  Bowler Best and Uno Rae collided approaching the home turn checking Bowler Best and Bird Has Flown; Bowler Best faltered and subsequently tailed off as a result.  Demon Puzzle and Arvo's Leroy collided approaching the home turn.  Wallamba Max raced wide on the home turn.

Bowler Best was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right back muscle and right triangle muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Zonda Bale and Futurist were quick to begin.  Roadrunner Thief was slow to begin.  Dr. Timothy, Sweet Latte and Extra Stars collided soon after the start checking Sweet Latte.  Zonda Bale and Futurist collided on the first turn severely checking Futurist which lost considerable ground as a result.  Dr. Timothy and Roadrunner Thief raced wide on the home turn.  Connor's Rocket lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Connor's Rocket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Futurist was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left quadriceps.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards also noted that following the event, Futurist showed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS) in the catching pen.  Stewards advised Mr. P. Krasnaborodkin, the trainer of Futurist, that the greyhound will be further monitored in future events.

Roadrunner Thief was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spinal injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Have A Tinnie was quick to begin.  Diamond Ed and Smash It were slow to begin.  Rusty Mia crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Rusty Mia, Dr. Les and Betty Baker.  Betty Baker and Rusty Mia collided approaching the first turn checking Betty Baker.  Diamond Ed checked off Smash It on the first turn.  Betty Baker and Rusty Mia collided on the first turn checking Betty Baker.  Dr. Les raced wide in the home straight.

Go On Then was quick to begin.  Buckle Up Brett and Lucy Norris were slow to begin.  Barksdale and Lucy Norris collided soon after the start checking Lucy Norris.  Key Largo Prince and Sloan Ranger collided soon after the start checking Key Largo Prince.  Anna Ray Girl checked off Go On Then approaching the first turn.  Anna Ray Girl and Good For You collided on the first turn checking Anna Ray Girl.  Go On Then and Barksdale collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Good For You and Key Largo Prince collided entering the home straight checking Good For You and severely checking Go On Then, Key Largo Prince and Lucy Norris; Go On Then stumbled as a result.

Go On Then was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

I'm Pumped and Ima Legend were slow to begin.  Dr. Rahoual, Yazz and Rylee's Rogue collided approaching the first turn checking Yazz.  Dr. Samson and Dr. Rahoual collided on the first turn checking Dr. Rahoual.  Dr. Samson checked off Ima Legend approaching the home turn.  Black Selandra raced wide on the home turn.  Dr. Rahoual checked off Flippin' Good entering the home straight.

Get Up Alvin was quick to begin.  Road Trip Blues and Dollar Chips were slow to begin.  Road Trip Blues, Dollar Chips and Ripplebrook Al collided approaching the first turn checking Road Trip Blues and Dollar Chips.  Ripplebrook Al galloped on the heels of Wicked Wendy on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Broad Betty and Wicked Wendy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Fantasy McQueen and Elite Lucy were slow to begin.  Dr. Brownie and Fantasy McQueen collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Cool Milo crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Fantasy McQueen, Dr. Brownie and Zeva Diva and severely checking Explosive Sky.  Zeva Diva raced wide on the home turn.

This event was hand timed due to a malfunction with the electronic timing equipment.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L Smith, the trainer of Love Capers regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Love Capers last raced on 5th February 2015. Ms. Smith stated that the greyhound is returning from a seasonal spell and had changed kennels during this time.

A pre-race sample was taken from Diligent Miss.

Won Wron Flyer was quick to begin.  Take The Chance was slow to begin.  Purple Flynn and Daintree Mustang collided soon after the start checking Daintree Mustang.  Uno Nando and Daintree Mustang collided approaching the first turn.  Love Capers crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Purple Flynn, Uno Nando and Daintree Mustang and causing Take The Chance to race wide.  Lil' Miss Pleb checked off Love Capers on the first turn.  Uno Nando and Daintree Mustang collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Won Wron Flyer and Love Capers collided on the home turn.  Take The Chance galloped on the heels of Purple Flynn in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard and issued her with a warning regarding her failure to fulfil a catching engagement for Take The Chance in this event.

Teddy Nitro was slow to begin.  Amlin Mystique crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Houso.  Begin Again and Aye Simple Manna collided soon after the start checking Begin Again.  Amlin Mystique and Acquitted collided approaching the first turn checking Gaelic Central and Acquitted.  Gaelic Central galloped on the heels of Obstinate on the first turn severely checking Gaelic Central, Obstinate, Acquitted, Begin Again and Teddy Nitro.  Teddy Nitro raced wide on the home turn.
