Steward's Report
Iceni Tango was slow to begin. All Inn Black, Iceni Magic and Buckle In collided soon after the start, checking Iceni Magic. Call Me Callahan and All Inn Black collided approaching the first turn. Platinum Shen eased approaching the first turn, checking Call Me Callahan and All Inn Black. Platinum Shen and Iceni Tango collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Bernard Rogers, the trainer of the greyhound Planinum Shen regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Platinum Shen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left abdominal muscle, a seven stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Platinum Shen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Bernard Rogers pleaded guilty to the charge, Platinum Shen was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
