Stewards spoke to Bernard Rogers, the trainer of the greyhound Planinum Shen regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Platinum Shen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left abdominal muscle, a seven stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Platinum Shen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Bernard Rogers pleaded guilty to the charge, Platinum Shen was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Billy Bio was slow to begin.  Sir Tim and All Inn Wingate collided soon after the start.  All Inn Wingate and Billy Bio collided approaching the first turn.  Sir Tim and Billy Bio collided approaching the first turn, checking Sir Tim which collided with All Inn Wingate.  Wisen Up and Bigboy Brownless collided on the first turn.  Dortmunder raced wide on the first turn and became unbalanced.  Sir Tim and All Inn Wingate collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight.
