Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Pennsylvania Is, Mr. A. Paraskevas regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Paraskevas stated that he was disappointed with the greyhounds last start run at Horsham and decided to spell the bitch shortly after.
A pre race sample was taken from Pennsylvania Is.
Pennsylvania Is was slow to begin. Pud crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Unquestionably, Black And Pretty and Gospel Lass. Gypsy Bling crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Sally Gardens, checking Anna Ray Girl as a result. Unquestionably and Gypsy Bling collided at the 250m mark, and again at the 100m mark.
