Steward's Report
Smash It was slow to begin. Cotton Bud Joe and Harvest Gold collided soon after the start. Bazzagrey crossed to the outside approaching the first turn, checking Cotton Bud Joe, Harvest Gold, Sheza Gym Junky and Conclave. Extra Cuddles crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Sheza Gym Junky and Harvest Gold. Smash It checked off Cotton Bud Joe on the first turn. Conclave checked off Smash It approaching the home turn. Cotton Bud Joe and Extra Cuddles collided on the home turn. Sheza Gym Junky and Harvest Gold collided approaching the winning post.
Prince Shak which began to lose ground on the first turn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 3 tear to the right back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
