Ketut's Kaput checked off Jackie Baxter approaching the home turn, checking Mr Fox and causing Ketut's Kaput to race wide. Tekki China and Mr Fox collided entering the home straight.

Ko Ko Mikado was quick to begin. Seeking Treasure and Miss Harmony collided soon after the start, checking Seeking Treasure. Giants Dance and Some Tricks collided soon after the start. Bekim Vapour, Giants Dance and Some Tricks collided soon after the start. Ko Ko Mikado, Some Tricks and Punk Pirate collided on the first turn, checking Punk Pirate. Bekim Vapour checked off Giants Dance on the first turn. Miss Harmony and Ko Ko Mikado collided on the home turn, checking Giants Dance. Ko Ko Mikado checked off Miss Harmony in the home straight and collided with Bekim Vapour. 

Hot And Lonesome was slow to begin. I'm Pumped and Oriental Lotus collided soon after the start. Capacity checked off Liam soon after the start. Liam and Roadie collided approaching the first turn. Atomic Beach and I'm Pumped collided on the first turn. Roadie and Lovely Lizzie collided approaching the home turn. Hot And Lonesome collided entering the home straight. Capacity and Lovely Lizzie collided entering the home straight. 

Dale was a late scratching at 4:39pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C.Glen was fined the sum of $100.

Rusty Gin was slow to begin. Jet Mikado and Tigress Eight collided approaching the first turn. Plea For Beer and Tigress Eight collided on the first turn. Rusty Gin and Jet Mikado collided on the first turn, checking Jet Mikado.

Smash It was slow to begin. Cotton Bud Joe and Harvest Gold collided soon after the start. Bazzagrey crossed to the outside approaching the first turn, checking Cotton Bud Joe, Harvest Gold, Sheza Gym Junky and Conclave. Extra Cuddles crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Sheza Gym Junky and Harvest Gold. Smash It checked off Cotton Bud Joe on the first turn. Prince Shak which began to lose ground on the first turn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 3 tear to the right back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

King Of Sunshine was a late scratching at 4:43pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr N. Kosky was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration papers for the greyhound Maverick Dusty pursuant to GAR 33.

A pre race sample was taken from Foxy Gems.

Lumumba and Claretown Tex were slow to begin. Hez Got Nitro, Maverick Dusty and Foxy collided several times approaching the first turn, checking Maverick Dusty. Hex Got Nitro and Foxy Gems collided approaching the home turn.
