Run Right Back was quick to begin.  Sweet It Is and Feikuai Polly collided on the first turn checking Feikuai Polly.  Sweet It Is checked off Shanlyn Lucy on the second turn checking Feikuai Polly.  Shanlyn Lucy and Vernon Bale collided on the third turn.  Sweet It Is and Vernon Bale collided on the fifth turn checking Vernon Bale.  Shanlyn Lucy and Shall She Rock collided on the home turn.  Sweet It Is and Run Right Back collided on the home turn.

Champion Exhibit was quick to begin.  Zipping Laura, Yeah Whatever and Perrier Bale were slow to begin.  Yeah Whatever and Perrier Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Wise Ginger and Nitro Power collided approaching the first turn.  Wise Ginger and Zipping Laura collided on the first turn.  Champion Exhibit and Proper Bluey collided on the first turn.  Nitro Power and Perrier Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Nitro Power.  Zipping Laura and Yeah Whatever collided approaching the second turn and again in the back straight.  Nitro Power contacted the running rail in the back straight.  Wise Maple and Perrier Bale collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms. Emily McMahon, the handler of the greyhound Perrier Bale regarding her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound from the kennels.

Sacramento Sal was quick to begin.  Lektra Hombre, Blingified and George Sannette were slow to begin.  Miss Suzie Que and Lektra Hombre collided soon after the start.  Miss Suzie Que, Lektra Hombre, All Inn Troy, Blingified and George Sannette collided on the first turn checking All Inn Troy and severely checking Lektra Hombre and George Sannette; Lektra Hombre and George Sannette raced wide as a result.  Miss Suzie Que and Blingified collided on the third turn.

Gazer Bale was quick to begin.  Tekki Minx and Whodat Knockin' were slow to begin.  Tekki Minx checked off Red Superman soon after the start.  Yadi, Gun Smoke Stumpy, Lucky Two Lips and Bronco De Jurer collided approaching the first turn checking Lucky Two Lips and Bronco De Jurer and severely checking Gun Smoke Stumpy and Whodat Knockin'; Gun Smoke Stumpy and Whodat Knockin' raced wide as a result.  Red Superman and Yadi collided in the front straight checking Yadi.  Tekki Minx and Lucky Two Lips collided approaching the second turn checking Tekki Minx and Gun Smoke Stumpy and severely checking Lucky Two Lips and Whodat Knockin'.  Bronco De Jurer checked off Red Superman on the fourth turn.  Bronco De Jurer and Tekki Minx collided on the fourth turn checking Whodat Knockin'.  Whodat Knockin' checked off Tekki Minx in the home straight.

Xtreme Knocka was quick to begin.  Yanick Allen, Spring Gambo and Diva's Shadow were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Yanick Allen and Spring Gambo.  Yanick Allen checked off Spring Gambo approaching the first turn.  Edge Of Eden, Cette Away, Angel Of Music and Diva's Shadow collided on the first turn checking Cette Away, Angel Of Music and Diva's Shadow.  Posh Fire and Spring Gambo collided on the first turn.  Edge Of Eden, Spring Gambo and Cette Away collided approaching the second turn checking Edge Of Eden, Angel Of Music, Yanick Allen and Diva's Shadow.  Cette Away checked off Angel Of Music in the home straight.

Weblec Rose and Mystic Twist were quick to begin.  Akina Akeira, Coulta Rock, Blue Giant and Oakvale Flyer were slow to begin.  Weblec Rose checked off Mystic Twist approaching the first turn.  Akina Akeira and Blue Giant collided on the first turn.  Akina Akeira clipped the heels of Coulta Rock on the first turn.  Weblec Rose checked off Marcus Joe in the front straight checking Oakvale Flyer.  Akina Akeira and Blue Giant collided on the second turn.  Marcus Joe lost ground approaching the home turn.  Weblec Rose and Coulta Rock collided on the home turn.  Akina Akeira and Marcus Joe collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Marcus Joe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to its left hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Mystic Twist, the winner of the event.

Spring Grace stumbled soon after the start.  Ivy Bale and Jubilea Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Jailor Bale and Uno Suzie collided approaching the first turn.  Jubilea Bale and Jailor Bale collided on the first turn. Spring Grace and Jubilea Bale collided on the second turn checking Jubilea Bale.  Spring Grace checked off Jailor Bale on the second turn checking Jubilea Bale.

Quantum Bale was a late scratching at 3:04pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fever Pitch was quick to begin.  Midnight Flynn was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Allen Icarus, West On Delly, Lektra Utopia, Jayney Bale and Crackerjack Dak collided approaching the first turn.  West On Delly and Lektra Utopia collided on the first turn checking West On Delly and Jayney Bale.  Midnight Flynn and Lektra Utopia collided approaching the second turn.  Allen Icarus and Crackerjack Dak collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn severely checking Crackerjack Dak which stumbled, lost ground and tailed off as a result.  Lektra Utopia raced wide entering the home straight checking Jayney Bale.

Crackerjack Dak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left triangle and right back muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Fever Pitch, the winner of the event.

Chancy Be Smooth and Zipping Eastwood were slow to begin.  Chancy Be Smooth checked off Capullo Bale soon after the start.  Danyo's Slappy, Missile Flash and Midnight Ride collided several times approaching the first turn checking Danyo's Slappy and Missile Flash.  Danyo's Slappy, Midnight Ride and Capullo Bale collided on the first turn checking Capullo Bale, Chancy Be Smooth and Zipping Eastwood.  Capullo Bale checked off Midnight Ride approaching the second turn checking Chancy Be Smooth.  Capullo Bale checked off Missile Flash in the back straight.  Chancy Be Smooth checked off Missile Flash on the third turn.  Danyo's Slappy and Midnight Ride collided in the home straight checking Danyo's Slappy.

Cheap Currency and Lister Bale were slow to begin.  Scintillating and Polly Bale collided soon after the start.  Le Luca and Dashing Roman collided soon after the start.  Polly Bale checked off We Are Geelong soon after the start.  Scintillating and Lister Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Scintillating and severely checking Cheap Currency which raced wide; Lister Bale fell as a result.  Dashing Roman and We Are Geelong collided approaching the second turn checking We Are Geelong and Scintillating.  Cheap Currency checked off Polly Bale on the third turn.  Polly Bale checked off Scintillating entering the home straight.

Following the event, Stewards announced to hold all tickets after Lister Bale fell approaching the first turn and ran back towards the field and rejoined the race at the home turn.  After reviewing the official race footage, Stewards determined that Lister Bale had caused no interference with the field and had not changed the outcome of the event.  Stewards declared the event All Clear.  

Lister Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Magic Success and Cuervo Shot were slow to begin.  Ernest Bale, Diego Bale, Gunmetal Rebel and Go Go Treetment collided soon after the start checking Ernest Bale and Diego Bale.  Ernest Bale, Diego Bale, Gunmetal Rebel, Go Go Treetment, Cuervo Shot and Mepunga Rosie collided approaching the first turn checking Ernest Bale, Diego Bale and Go Go Treetment; Magic Success raced wide as a result.  Ernest Bale, Diego Bale and Go Go Treetment collided on the first turn checking Go Go Treetment and Mepunga Rosie.  Magic Success lost ground from the third turn.  Go Go Treetment and Mepunga Rosie collided entering the home straight checking Mepunga Rosie.  Go Go Treetment checked off Diego Bale in the home straight.  Memphis Jookin' and Ernest Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Formosa, the trainer of the greyhound Gunmetal Rebel regarding not having his mobile phone switched off whilst handling his greyhound.

Magic Success was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Go Treetment was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Folio Bale.

Allen Portland, Agile Reason and Cogitate were slow to begin.  Flaming Electra and Allen Portland collided soon after the start.  Agile Reason and Cogitate collided soon after the start.  Folio Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Flaming Electra.  Agile Reason checked off Kraken Nitro approaching the first turn.  Folio Bale and Nitro Addiction collided on the first turn.  Allen Portland brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Allen Oregon and Flaming Electra collided on the first turn checking Agile Reason which raced wide as a result.  Kraken Nitro and Cogitate raced wide on the second turn.  Kraken Nitro and Cogitate collided in the back straight and again approaching the winning post.

Exhibition Trial

Zambora Brockie trialled over the 525 metre distance following event 3 from box 1, weight 31.0kgs.  The time of the trial was 29.79.  The splits are as a follows: 5.14 (1st Split), 17.75 (2nd Split) and 12:04 (3rd Split).
