Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Disco Rain, Mr. I. Garland, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr Garland stated that the greyhound had not started since injuring a monkey muscle at it's last race start at Ballarat on 11/2/15.
Disco Rain and Zelemar Doll were quick to begin. Flip The Boat and Gear Box Jack collided soon after the start. Slipaway Curly and See Him Run collied approaching the first turn, checking Slipaway Curly. See Him Run checked off Liam on the first turn. Slipaway Curly crossed to the outside on the home turn, checking Gear Box Jack. See Him Run and Liam collided approaching the winning post.
Slipaway Curly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike injury to the right hind toes. No stand down period was imposed.
