The start of this event was momentarily delayed after the handler of Linda's Gift slipped and fell whilst boxing the greyhound.
Madambash, Smashing Evie, Duporth Avenue and Linda's Gift were quick to begin. Barcelona Beauty was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Ken's Thunderin' and Linda's Gift collided approaching the first turn. Smashing Evie checked Duporth Avenue approaching the first turn. Barcelona Beauty and Ken's Thunderin' raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Madambash and Duporth Avenue collided approaching the winning post.
