Steward's Report
Valentine Belle was a late scratching at 8.50am due to injury(GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Elusive.
Hurry Up Chief was slow to begin. Star's Delight and Aggi Den collided soon after the start. Mazzetti and Bashful Babe collided approaching the first turn. Star's Delight checked off Bashful Babe on the first turn. Star's Delight and Hurry Up Chief collided on the first turn, severely checking Hurry Up Chief, and causing Star's Delight to fall.
Star's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained radias/ulna fractures to both forelegs, and was humanely euthanased.
Hurry Up Chief was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both foreleg monkey muscles, left hindleg back muscle and left hindleg triangle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
